To be clear, this ONLY applies to regular board meetings, and will not apply to the special meeting on July 30th. Public comments will continue until all speakers are accommodated.

We encourage you to complete this, print it, and physically provide it to the Board President before the meeting begins. Sign-ups will also be available in person until the start of meeting at 6:00PM. All sign-ups will CLOSE at 6:00PM on July 30th. If you wish to sign-up in person, we encourage you to arrive early in order to avoid any potential delays.

HOODIE POLICY UPDATE
The Cleveland ISD school board has approved for students to be able to wear hooded clothing for the 2024-2025 school year. However, while inside any CISD campus or facility, any hoods that are up must be removed to ensure safety and clear identification.

The Cleveland ISD School Board has approved for MESH backpacks to be allowed for student use during the 2024-2025 school year. Students may use mesh or clear backpacks only.

After assessing the power situation and communicating with Entergy Electric, Cleveland ISD will be closed for the remainder of this week. We plan to reopen at regular time on Monday, July 15th.

The special school board meeting concerning the potential reconsideration of the Superintendent contract has been rescheduled for Monday, July 15th at 6:00PM.

Due to impacts from Hurricane Beryl, all Cleveland ISD campuses and facilities will be CLOSED on Tuesday, July 9th, and Wednesday, July 10th, 2024. All district functions and events are canceled. We will inform the community about Thursday, July 11th at a later time.

Out of an abundance of caution due to the forecasted weather conditions for the greater Houston area, all Cleveland ISD campuses and facilities will be CLOSED on Monday, July 8th. This includes all summer activities, trainings, workshops, and professional development events.
We will inform the community about the plans for Tuesday, July 9th in the near future.

INCOMING 7TH GRADE FAMILIES - IMPORTANT VACCINE INFO!
The state of Texas requires all 7th graders to have the Tdap and MCV4 vaccines BEFORE the first day of school! Please update your student's vaccine record as soon as possible! You may email Lacy Green at lacy.green@clevelandisd.org with the updated records, fax them at 346-799-4970, or drop them off at the CISD admin building OR your student's campus.



Last week, SFMS Band Director - Max Mucino - was invited to serve as the Jazz Band Clinician for the SFASU High School Band Camp!
Mr. Mucino says, "I had a blast teaching the 9th grade and 10-12th grade jazz bands at SFASU Summer Band Camps! For many of the students, this was their first experience learning and playing jazz. I am so glad that I could kick-start their jazz careers!" #theClevelandISDway
